Child Dedication

"Children are an inheritance from the Lord. They are a reward from him. The Children born to a man when he is young are like arrows in the hand of a warrior. Blessed in the man who has filled his quiver with them. He will not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the city gate."

A Child Dedication is a celebration where parents publicly dedicate their children to God for his service. With the help of the Holy Spirit, they commit to raising their children in the fear and honor of the Lord. 

 

It is not just the children that are being dedicated, but the Parents also are being dedicated to the Lord as they commit themselves before God and His church to raise their children in the truth of God's Word and raise them to live a Godly life.

The church family is also their to be witnesses to this commitment from the parents to be Godly and raise their children. The church family is also there to agree with them in prayer.
